Matt Bergstreser, Owner.
Aircraft mechanic since 2003. Gunsmith and custom rifle builder since 2017.

MY STORY
My passion for firearms started young. I grew up surrounded by my family's rifles: custom Mausers in 25-06, .22 Hornets and the .300 Win Mag my dad topped with what looked like the Hubble Telescope. Grandpa's collection of pump, semi-auto and bolt-action .22s was legendary, and a few of those rifles now sit in my own safe, ready to be passed down again someday.
I've worked as an aircraft mechanic since 2003, a career that taught me patience, precision and pride in my craftsmanship. In 2017 I turned my passion into a business. While sharpening my machining skills I found Trinidad State's Summer Gunsmithing Program, where I learned firsthand that gunsmithing demands precision and an eye for detail: parts must fit perfectly, run smoothly and look good.
That commitment to quality is our foundation. Explore the site and reach out with any questions. I look forward to working with you.
Connor Weeks, Instructor.
Firearms instructor and apprentice gunsmith. Born and raised in Gypsum, CO.

MY STORY
I was born and raised in Gypsum, CO and have spent my whole life hunting and exploring the state. I remember my first shooting range trip when I was three years old, where I started out with a .22 bolt action rifle. So, you could say my love for firearms started when I was very young. After that first range day, my dad helped me become stronger and smarter to the point where I could handle the same rifles and shotguns he was using. Now that I am bigger and wiser, I've gotten to extend my own expertise and knowledge with multiple firearms.
And as I grew, so did my collection. Some of these firearms include personal purchases, gifts and heirlooms passed down from family. I have learned how many firearms have a past, with deep personal stories and connections to previous owners. I have learned to cherish these stories and preserve them by caring for my own firearms and others' alike. As an apprentice under Matt, I have been able to grow my skills in preserving and repairing firearms so they may continue to serve their role as a self-defense tool, precision hunting rifle or heirloom piece.
