What we need

Complete the transfer notification and then visit the store to complete Form 4473 after the firearm has arrived.
Notify the shop
Submit your contact details and include the sending dealer’s name, phone and email in the message field.
Wait for arrival
The firearm must be received by Windage Weaponry before the background-check process can begin.

Visit the Gypsum storefront with valid identification to complete the paperwork and background check.

Before anything ships
Colorado’s specified semiautomatic firearm (SSF) requirements have been in effect since August 1, 2026. Before shipping an affected firearm, call the shop to confirm eligibility, training and transfer requirements. Review the current Colorado Parks and Wildlife SSF guidance.

Colorado transfer notes
Colorado requires a mandatory three-day wait, which normally means one visit for Form 4473 and the background check and a second visit for pickup. A firearm not picked up within 30 days of the background check requires the process to restart. Magazines over 15 rounds received with a transfer will be removed and destroyed without replacement.

NFA filing checklist
For eForms, create an ATF account using your full legal name and a personal email address. Silencer Shop fingerprints can be completed once at a Powered By kiosk; local fingerprinting is also available through Colorado Fingerprinting. The paper-filing checklist includes three Form 4 copies, two passport photos, two fingerprint cards and a $200 check to BATFE. Trust filings also require Form 5320.23 for each responsible person and a copy of the trust documents. Filing estimates can change, so confirm current timing with the shop.
